Ceilings

CATHEDRAL or VAULTED CEILINGS
This is a high sloping ceiling that is attached directly to the roof trusses and rises all the way to the top of the house. Cathedral ceilings provide a dramatic design element as well as an open and spacious feel to a room or a home entrance.

TRAY CEILINGS
This ceiling line supposedly resembles a tray turned upside down. Often they have a flat ceiling center with the sides sloping in from the walls to join the level ceiling surface.

COFFERED CEILINGS
Coffered ceilings are ceilings set with square or polygonal panels, usually enhanced with decorative motifs. Depending on the room and tastes of the homeowner, they can be designed to be simple yet substantial or elaborate and very detailed.
